Let’s be honest, no-one really cares how the band formed, or when, or anything else like that. So let’s just settle for saying that The Rivalry six dudes playing brutal metal with a number of other influences, with the hope of appealing to people who like their metal a little left of centre.
Their debut EP 'Misanthropy' (2005) was released, and after only a few weeks became limited stock. The Rivalry are now we’re focusing on writing material for our forthcoming full length album and getting to all the major cities in Australia. After tours with In Name and Blood, The Abandonment, Picture The End and supports with Shai Hulud and Darkest Hour things are definitely looking up for The Rivalry.
