Sunk Loto's "Between Birth And Death" is an intense, cathartic album that finally sees the band blossom into their own.

Musically, the band have overcome the carbon copy comparisons of the past to wield a much more mature, richer & diverse hybrid sound that harnesses the true essence of heavy metal.

Standouts on the record include the first single 'Everything Everyway', 'Fall Apart' and such potent rockers as '5 Years Of Silence' and the vitriolic 'Soul Worn Thin', while 'Starved' is the albums ballad. From there, the LP takes a decidedly more aggressive stance, led by such heavy hitters as the hardcore-influenced 'Empty & Alone' and 'Help', while 'Burning Bridges', 'Inside', 'Public Imagery' and 'Erased' are delivered with vicious, metal-core-like intent. The overall result is a commandingly impressive new album that will further cement Sunk Loto's place among Australia's elite and put the band on par with the leaders of the Metal/Rock genres across the world.

The first single 'Everything Everyway', along with 'Empty & Alone' received strong support on Triple J. In addition to headlining their own tours Sunk Loto have supported, Korn, Static-X, Fear Factory, Mudvayne, Sevendust, The Deftones, Linkin Park and have performed on the mainstages at Australia's Big Day Out. In December 2004 the band embarked on their first US tour supporting Sevendust. The band returned to the States in 2005 for showcases during SXSW in Austin, TX as well as regional tours.
